In 2024 I was a guest of Parkland Health’s Hospital. (19 days! Fun trip!) When I was on my last few days there, and was allowed to actually get out of the hospital bed something incredible happened: A giant thunderstorm rolled along my view of the entire city of Dallas.

Even the faces around me seem unfinished, as if everyone is made from scraps. The world outside leaks into the world inside me. Both are scattered, both incomplete.
